Who we are
DAPAWz is a service based in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. We operate the DAPAWz mobile app, where dog owners book pet hotel stays and dog training programs, and this website. DAPAWz currently serves users in Moldova and the European Union; the app is not directed at residents of the United States, including California, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. What we collect in the app
When you use the DAPAWz app, we collect:
- Account details — your email address, full name, and (optionally) phone number.
- Dog profiles — what you add about your dogs: name, breed, date of birth, weight, size, gender, photos, vaccination status, and any medical or behavioral notes you choose to provide.
- Bookings and orders — your hotel reservations and training enrollments: dates, statuses, prices, and any special requests you write.
- Payment records — DAPAWz is currently cash-only. We record order amounts and whether staff marked them as paid. We never collect or store card numbers or other payment credentials.
- Notification token — if you enable push notifications, the device token needed to deliver them.
- Diagnostics — crash and error reports (device model, OS version, what the app was doing when it failed) so we can find and fix bugs.
- Security logs — our servers record IP addresses and security-relevant actions, for example when a payment is confirmed or an account is deleted.
What we collect on this website
If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address, the date you joined, and basic technical data (such as your IP address) handled automatically by our infrastructure provider to keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
Why we use your data, and our legal bases
- To provide the service — processing your bookings and enrollments, letting facility staff prepare for and care for your dog, and keeping accurate payment records. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you.
- To send notifications you have enabled — booking confirmations, payment confirmations, and reminders. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw anytime in the app's notification settings or your device settings.
- To keep DAPAWz secure and reliable — preventing abuse, fixing bugs, and keeping audit records of sensitive actions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
- To send waitlist updates — only to tell you when DAPAWz launches. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form.
Who has access to your data
We don't sell or rent your data, we don't show ads, and we don't share your data for advertising. Access is limited to:
- Facility staff — DAPAWz managers can see bookings, orders, and the dog profile details needed to care for your dog and to confirm cash payments.
- Supabase — hosts our database, sign-in, and photo storage.
- Render — hosts our application server.
- Sentry — receives crash and error reports.
- Expo, with Apple and Google — deliver push notifications to your device.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and processes waitlist form submissions.
- Resend — delivers the emails we send you.
These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. They may process data on servers located outside Moldova, including in the European Union and the United States. We rely on their standard safeguards for such transfers.
How long we keep it, and deleting your account
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, dog profiles and photos, bookings, enrollments, and reviews. If you have an unfinished booking or training program, the app will ask you to complete or cancel it first.
After deletion, security audit records are kept for a limited time but no longer link to you, and crash diagnostics expire automatically under Sentry's retention period. Waitlist emails are kept until launch or until you ask to be removed, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what data we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Have your data corrected — most details you can edit yourself in the app.
- Delete your data — in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by writing to us.
- Withdraw consent for notifications or waitlist emails at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with Moldova's data protection authority (the National Center for Personal Data Protection) or, if you are in the European Economic Area, with your local authority.
To exercise any of these, just email hello@dapawz.com and we'll take care of it. To simply leave the waitlist, reply “remove me” to any email from us.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted by role and enforced at the database level — customers can only access their own records. Staff accounts can only be created by existing staff, and sensitive actions are logged.
Children
DAPAWz is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Cookies
The DAPAWz app does not use cookies. This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies; our infrastructure provider may set essential cookies needed for security and to keep the site running.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and where appropriate notify you in the app or by email.
